Our stunning tropical setting, lush rainforest interior, calm clear water Bay with pristine coral reefs provide the perfect back-drop for many activities; including snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, coastal walks, local village cultural tours, we also offer Day Tours to Taveuni visiting waterfalls, water-slide, International date-line and the Catholic Mission.

For the less active time spent in our Pamper Vale or just relaxing in one of the ‘chairs in the air’ reading a book or gazing across our Bay. For the more active guest, we are within minutes of the world renowned Rainbow Reef where you will be able to scuba dive on some of the Pacific’s most spectacular dive sites.

A variety of complementary and paid activities is available for you to explore our 100 acres and our beautiful surroundings.

Lounging by our ocean front with a drink in hand, you can do it all or just do nothing. Take hikes on our very own Sau Bay trails, kayak in the bay, visit a local village for a cultural experience, see the breath-taking waterfalls of Taveuni, or relax, read, and lounge by the ocean under the Fiji sun.

Here at Sau Bay our inhouse dive shop allows us to be the only resort that offers three tank dives for a two tank price. Our dive masters will keep you well equipped and safe with our top of the line atomic regulators and BCD’s so you can enjoy our over fifty dive locations. Be it the great white wall located only ten minutes away from our resort at the world-famous rainbow reef or our very own front yard, Sau Bay will be ready to take you on the finest dives that the South Pacific has to offer. Home to an array of unique biodiversity found only in this region of the world. A vast expanse of soft white corals, rich tidal waters and a multitude of brilliant coral reef fish beaming with turtles, mantas, and even sea snakes.

The island of Taveuni is the third largest island in the Fiji archipelago. The International Date Line (180th Meridian) crosses the island within walking distance of Taveuni’s dock. The island is approximately 42 kilometres long and 15 kilometres wide with a population of 18,000 mostly native Fijians residing in villages. The Garden Island has much to offer and the following are some of the activities available for our guests.
